Laboratories
Kinesiotherapy and kinesiology subject is based on anatomical, physiological & related kinesiological principles of normal human movement. Students have the opportunity to develop and acquire understanding of physiological responses to various types of exercise training. The lab is of 1119 square feet and we ensure enough number of equipment’s are available to the students to practice and acquire evidence based clinical skills of assessing joint range, muscle strength, flexibility, balance, breathing exercises and gait training are examined in depth with emphasis on safe & effective exercise prescription under the guidance of experienced faculty. The lab is regularly updated with latest available equipment’s to be on par with world class education.
Electrotherapy lab is of 1049 square feet and is well equipped with modern equipment’s like Laser, Ultrasonic therapy, Interferential Therapy, Neuro Muscular Electrical Stimulator and Short wave diathermy. More emphasis on hands on practicing in the labs gives excellent opportunity for the students to sharpen their clinical skills under the guidance of experienced faculty. The lab is regularly updated with latest available equipment’s to be on par with world class education. The lab ensures enough number of equipment’s to the students to practice. Equal importance is given to research and evidence based practice in the field of electrotherapy.
Simulation Laboratory was inaugurated at MGM School of Physiotherapy, Navi Mumbai with the aim to enrich the learning experience of all undergraduate and postgraduate students. Human Anatomy forms the foundation of Physiotherapy education. The lab is of 300 square feet and fully equipped with simulation models of internal organs like heart, lung, brain, female reproductive organs and many more. Simulated models of Human arm and leg with muscular attachments, nerve course, and plexus provide visual aid and help understand the anatomical relations of structures. The lab is regularly updated with latest available high quality simulation models.
